About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is seeking a Support Service Account Manager / Support Service Advisor for its Albany, OR location. GTC has been serving customer transportation needs since 1986 and is a dealership family with 19 locations. They specialize in selling, financing, insuring, and servicing commercial trucks for medium and heavy-duty applications. GTC aims to build its team with the best employees who deliver first-class service safely and reliably.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Service Advisory experience preferred or one (1) year or more related experience in a repair facility.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Must be professional and safety-minded at all times.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and listening skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Make a great first impression with customers and provide outstanding customer service from initial contact to final delivery.
  • Greet and communicate with customers, initiate service write-ups for repairs.
  • Accurately record customer information and requests, and prepare written estimates.
  • Schedule and plan shop work directly with the service foreman.
  • Communicate directly and effectively with shop management and problem-solve with the team.
  • Communicate the status of repairs to the customer/driver at all times.
  • Open and close repair orders, enter other work needed, check for warranty coverage, and utilize system processes.
  • Oversee correct data entry on all repair orders, ensuring accuracy of all data and codes.
  • Collect purchase order information, warranty information, and/or customer payment.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Accept ownership for new and different requests and explore value-added opportunities.
  • Develop and grow the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by business needs.
