About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is seeking a Support Service Account Manager / Service Advisor for its Albany, OR location. GTC is a large dealership family in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in commercial trucks. This role is crucial for providing first-class service to customers, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact through vehicle delivery.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Service Advisory experience preferred or one (1) year or more related experience in a repair facility.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Must be professional and safety-minded at all times.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and listening skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and communicate with customers, initiating service write-ups for repairs.
  • Accurately record customer information and service requests, preparing written estimates.
  • Schedule and plan shop work in coordination with the service foreman.
  • Communicate effectively with shop management.
  • Problem-solve with the team.
  • Provide regular status updates to customers/drivers on repair progress.
  • Open and close repair orders, enter additional work needed, and verify warranty coverage.
  • Oversee accurate data entry on all repair orders, ensuring data and code accuracy.
  • Collect purchase order information, warranty details, and/or customer payment.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment using good judgment.
  • Accept ownership of new and different requests, exploring value-added opportunities.
  • Develop and grow within the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by business needs.
