About The Position
As a Support Helper I, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of patient care services at GRMC. You’ll assist professional hospital staff, provide essential support to patients and their families, and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient healthcare environment. Your work directly impacts the quality of care and the overall patient experience.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and assist patients, including objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.
- Physical capability to perform essential duties, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
Responsibilities
- Assist in transporting, transferring, and moving patients safely and efficiently.
- Deliver equipment, specimens, patients, and records throughout the hospital.
- Maintain inventory in stock rooms, carts, and assigned areas.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and halls.
- Support general maintenance and clerical tasks as directed.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures for quality and safety.
