About The Position

Qualcomm's Emulation Team is part of the central SoC digital hardware organization responsible for the overall quality of the SoC. The Emulation team works closely with architects, designers, verification engineers, software engineers, and customers. The team is currently seeking a candidate for emulation support technician. The candidate is expected to be familiar with common PC components (PCIe, USB, CPU, GPU) and how these components connect to each other. The ideal candidate would be able to read basic schematics and be able to assist in hardware debug activities.

Requirements

Familiarity with common PC components (PCIe, USB, CPU, GPU) and how these components connect to each other
Ability to read basic schematics
Ability to assist in hardware debug activities
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience.
OR Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Daily support of custom hardware/server configuration
Interfacing with the larger SVE team to triage and resolve issues
Removal and replacement of specific hardware components
Working from a ticket queue
