About The Position

As a Support Engineer in Test, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and reliability of our company's infrastructure and software environment. Your responsibilities extend beyond traditional support functions, encompassing rigorous quality assurance testing to enhance our educational technology solutions.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • Proficient in the use of online and remote-connecting software
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a non-scripted helpdesk environment. This position requires the ability to examine, question, explore and troubleshoot a variety of issues
  • Excellent time and task management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technically skilled with good problem-solving abilities (Think on Your Feet)

Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing thorough test plans and test cases in accordance with project specifications
  • Manually testing software to evaluate functionality
  • Documenting and communicating defects effectively, offering developers precise and comprehensive information for prompt resolution
  • Conducting regression testing to verify that software alterations do not introduce fresh issues
  • Meticulously maintaining comprehensive test documentation, encompassing test plans, test cases, and test reports
  • Monitoring testing progress and promptly reporting issues to project
  • Working under flexible hours like evenings, midnight, and weekends
  • Providing timely responses to all incoming requests immediately or within 1 hour
  • Assessing severity/impact level and prioritizing support requests accordingly
  • Escalating to technical lead if needed
  • Providing excellent follow-through on all open, pending, and resolved tickets that come to helpdesk
