About The Position

This position has primary responsibility for providing direct care to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the clients through direct and indirect physical and verbal interaction. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, or designee, in most cases, but some tasks are accomplished independently. MHRC is a 16 bed, inpatient program that provides intensive support and rehabilitative services. The individuals served are 18-64 years old with mental health struggles that have necessitated placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health facility. Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services are provided by a multidisciplinary team. The team supports individuals in developing the skills to become self-sufficient and increase levels of independence and functioning.

Requirements

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Current automobile insurance
  • Clean driving record that aligns with the company’s driver eligibility policy
  • High School Diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience OR Associate degree plus 2 years of relevant experience (for Support Counselor II)
  • Associate degree plus 4 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience (for Support Counselor III)

Nice To Haves

  • Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) Certification (can be obtained post-hire for qualified candidates)
