About The Position

This role involves facilitating supervised family visits, providing direct support and care to youth and families, and offering administrative and regulatory support. The position also assists with compliance tracking, recruitment efforts, event planning, and community outreach. Additionally, it involves providing enhanced behavioral support, coordinating community resources, conducting home walkthroughs, and assisting in training and mentoring other staff.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, and at least 3+ years of direct experience working with children who have serious emotional or behavioral needs, or children who have special needs, including, but not limited to, intensive medical needs, and who have specific skills to meet the needs of foster youth, including cultural and linguistic needs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field and at least 2.5 years of direct experience working with children who have serious emotional or behavioral needs, or children who have special needs, including, but not limited to, intensive medical needs, and who have specific skills to meet the needs of foster youth, including cultural and linguistic needs

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate supervised family visits in accordance with agency policies.
  • Provide direct support and care to youth and families, including transportation, supervision, and engagement in activities to promote stability and well-being.
  • Assist with youth skill-building and implementation of basic behavioral strategies.
  • Provide administrative and regulatory support, including documentation, scheduling, data entry, and reporting.
  • Assist with compliance tracking and follow-up to support adherence to licensing and program requirements.
  • Support recruitment and retention efforts, event planning, and hosting community outreach, training and engagement events.
  • Provide enhanced behavioral support and skill-building interventions for youth and families.
  • Coordinate access to community resources and structured activities for youth.
  • Participate in coordinating recruitment activities and event coverage in alignment with the recruitment plan.
  • Conduct home walkthroughs and provide compliance-related support to ensure ongoing monitoring and maintenance of Resource Family Approval in alignment with licensing standards and agency expectations.
  • Monitor recruitment plan tracking, coordinating activities, event participation and coverage support.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Permanency Support Specialist I staff, providing guidance and support in daily tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
