About The Position

BLB Design Build is a design-build firm based in Amesbury, Massachusetts, specializing in high-quality residential remodels, additions, and new construction across the North Shore of Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. The Support Carpenter works alongside the lead carpenter and team, providing hands-on support throughout projects from setup to closeout. The role involves rough and finish carpentry on thoughtfully designed, high-end residential projects, with an emphasis on clean work, precise details, safety, and avoiding shortcuts. Requirements

At least 2 years of carpentry or construction experience.
Basic ability to read plans and take accurate measurements.
Comfort using hand and power tools safely.
Reliability and consistency, including arriving ready to work.
Willingness to learn and improve skills.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

Assist with job-site setup and protection.
Organize materials, tools, and daily workflow.
Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately.
Install framing, siding, windows, doors, flooring, trim, drywall, cabinetry, and other building elements.
Read and follow construction drawings and plans.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Collaborate with the team to keep projects on schedule.
Assist with final cleanup and project completion.
