About The Position

The Covenant at Home Support Associate plays an important role as part of a collaborative team, supporting daily workflow, communication, and timely completion of delegated responsibilities. This position requires a dependable team player who communicates effectively, works cooperatively with co-workers and clinicians, and contributes to shared department goals. The Support Associate must demonstrate strong data entry, organizational, and customer service skills while completing work accurately and meeting required deadlines. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a related administrative, clerical, healthcare support, or customer service role required.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a strong team player who works collaboratively with co-workers throughout the day, communicates effectively, and supports shared workflow needs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrates sound judgment when handling confidential, sensitive, or protected information.
• Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complete assigned tasks and resolve issues appropriately.
• Maintains a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all responsibilities.
• Capable of managing a multi-line phone system independently.
• Projects a positive, professional, and energetic image.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and support the development of new processes as needs change.

• Working knowledge of home care and/or hospice reimbursement processes and regulatory requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply critical thinking and established processes to accurately complete patient registration, patient data entry, scheduling, and phone call management while supporting overall team workflow and clinician productivity.
• Maintain accurate clinician schedules and communicate updates promptly to appropriate team members to help ensure continuity of care and timely follow-through.
• Provide administrative support to clinicians, including assistance with documentation, patient communication, and ordering patient or office supplies as needed.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately by telephone with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and other members of the care team.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service in every interaction by being responsive, respectful, and solution-focused.
• Complete accurate and timely data entry for patient registration, visits, supplies, and related documentation.
• Process patient discharges accurately and in accordance with department procedures.
• Verify charges accurately to support timely and appropriate billing processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and team needs.
