About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide supply operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring an unusual degree of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the organization's mission or are seldom handled. This role is in support of the Sentinel Program. The position involves conducting extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns, preparing recurring and special reports, and compiling statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats. The employee will utilize multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males must be registered for Selective Service.
  • An appropriate, valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NJ-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service.
  • Specialized experience must include knowledge of governing supply regulations, procedures, and instructions.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.
  • Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.

  • May be authorized to receive a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) payment IAW JTR and AF Regulations.
  • May be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement if receiving an authorized PCS.
  • May be subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
  • May be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
  • May be required to travel approximately 5 days per year for Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY).

Responsibilities

  • Changes of work schedule may be required to fulfill supply support for 24-hour operations.
  • May be required to participate in contingency situations, real world and exercise, as directed.
  • Handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information and material in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • Become knowledgeable in DAFMAN 20-110 in Nuclear Weapons-Related Materiel management.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Refrain from the use of illegal drugs and submit to urinalysis testing if requested.
