About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Supply Technician (RIS) to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL. This role involves performing and evaluating work, inspecting tools and parts, and managing inventory. The technician will handle requisitions, prepare shipping documents, and manage the ordering, issuing, receiving, and storing of tools, equipment, and supplies. Responsibilities include inspecting for defects, performing minor repairs, verifying serviceability of equipment, and maintaining records. The position also oversees the Due In From Maintenance (DIFM) program, researches parts, and manages various supply programs such as Awaiting Parts (AWP) and precious metal recovery. The technician will also maintain the explosive supply point and associated documentation, and may perform chaff/flare buildup. Other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years USAF Supply experience (AFSC 2S0X1).
  • Able to independently utilize ILS-S, IMDS and SLES.
  • Secret security clearance is required.
  • Must be a US Citizen in order to apply for a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing and/or evaluating and inspecting work accomplished to ascertain and certify condition of tools and parts and section programs.
  • Signing condition tags on equipment/tool items.
  • Preparing periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.
  • Requisitioning non-stock listed items using DD Form 1348-6.
  • Preparing AF Form 9 and DD Form 1149 to ship items as mission requirements dictate for repairs and returns.
  • Ordering, issuing, receiving, storing, identifying and inspecting tools, equipment and consolidated tool kits (CTK) in accordance with USAF and local requirements.
  • Visually inspecting tools/equipment for wear or defects; reports broken/worn out tools/equipment as required.
  • Performing repairs on tools/equipment to include disassembly, repair and re-assembly in accordance with technical data, users’ manual or general knowledge.
  • Verifying serviceability of TMDE limited calibration equipment.
  • Maintaining parts and material requirements using manual and automated reports and records.
  • Notifying Supervisor/Lead for tools/equipment overdue turn-in.
  • Ordering, receiving, issuing, inventorying bench stock, parts and supplies to support maintenance operations.
  • Researching parts, when not available through supply channels works with Logistic Super to obtain required items.
  • Responsible for Due In From Maintenance (DIFM) program.
  • Ensuring DIFM parts are properly tagged and returned to supply.
  • Conducting follow-up action with base supply to resolve any parts/equipment issues.
  • Maintaining manual and/or automated records systems.
  • Maintaining the explosive supply point and associated documentation, may also transport and (perform chaff/flare buildup FSAT).
  • Monitoring the Awaiting Parts (AWP), special level, precious metal recovery, reusable container, and Turn-Around (TRN) programs.
  • Performing other duties, related tasks within their classifications assigned by Supervisor.
