About The Position

Tessera is seeking a Supply Technician Lead to join their team in Anchorage, Alaska, located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a day shift work schedule. The Supply Technician Lead is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, replacement parts, shop supplies, and equipment. This role involves managing shop stores, optimizing inventory levels, reordering, receiving, stocking, issuing, transferring, and conducting physical counts, utilizing Maximo (CMMS) and iPads. The position requires ensuring the good condition and accountability of all managed tools and materials, both contractor and government-owned, inspecting received items, and maintaining proper maintenance for stored items. Full data capture, including digital and paper records, is essential. The role also includes keeping records of tools issued and returned, searching for lost tools, preparing periodic and perpetual inventories, and requisitioning stock as needed. Receiving, unpacking, inspecting, and storing new equipment, maintaining information on purchased equipment and materials in a Maximo database, and using vehicles, warehouse forklifts, and other WHE devices to move material and equipment are also key duties. The Supply Technician Lead will dispose of damaged or defective items, recommend disposition for overstocked or obsolete materials, receive material from vendor deliveries, check quantities and quality, and work with the Procurement Lead to resolve receipt or invoicing issues. Maintaining Safety Data Sheets, inventory, and safeguarding hazardous chemicals, as well as conducting material kitting and preparing planned material issues and staging, are also part of the responsibilities. Requirements

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of inventory and purchasing experience preferred.
  • Material handling equipment experience preferred, such as forklift certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shop stores, including optimized inventory levels, reordering, receiving, stocking, issues, transfers, and physical counts.
  • Ensure managed tools and materials are kept in good condition and with full accountability, including both contractor and government owned.
  • Inspect all received items and ensure proper maintenance for stored items.
  • Ensure full data capture, including digital and paper records.
  • Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory, and keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
  • Receive, unpack, inspect, and store new equipment.
  • As appropriate, maintain information on purchased equipment and materials in a Maximo database with serial numbers and dates of purchase.
  • Use vehicles, warehouse forklifts, and other WHE devices to move material and equipment.
  • Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors.
  • Recommend material and equipment that is overstocked and/or obsolete for disposition.
  • Receive material from vendor deliveries and check for the right quantity and quality.
  • Work with the Procurement Lead to resolve any receipt or invoicing issues.
  • Keep records and compile stock reports – the majority of information will be managed in Maximo and will include scanned documents.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets, inventory, and safeguard hazardous chemicals.
  • Conduct material kitting and prepare planned material issues and staging.
