About The Position

Technica LLC seeks to fill the position of Supply Technician Lead (AY1) on a government contract with a place of performance at Ft. Bliss, TX. This position performs all aspects of technical management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. The Lead is the key assistant to the Supervisor with delegated lead person authority to control and oversee employees in the assigning, monitoring, and performance of the daily tasks assigned. The work involves the oversight of various sections within the warehouse while resolving customer issues or supply actions. The Lead acts as the communication bridge between team members and management. This work may require consideration of program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Candidate is required to enforce and comply with all SOPs and GCSS-Army system policies, adhere to all Safety policies. Ensure compliance with environmental Laws/Regulations, Army Regulations/Policies and Global Combat Support System - GCSS-Army Regulations/Policies, as it relates to depot, local, or other supply activities. Responsible for daily stock control functions and maintaining communication with all direct and indirect customers, Unit level SSAs and higher, print MROs, process PQDRs and walk ups. Establish work priorities, monthly reconciliations, maintain accountability for sensitive items. Candidate will be responsible for monitoring personnel, all transactions using GCSS-Army, maintaining warehouse filing system and key control. The ideal candidate must be extremely Leader oriented, customer focused and capable of short-range planning, analysis, and have the following additional requirements traits: A good working knowledge of document flow as it relates to GCSS-Army, Logistic Information System -LIS supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines and the Army supply system. An understanding of the needs of the organizations serviced and the overall mission concerns of those units. Candidate must be able to conduct research documents, familiar with all applications within the Logistics Information Warehouse. Must have several years' experience in and with military supply and logistics systems at the Brigade or above levels. Provide customer assistance, when necessary, by resolving their problems or directing them to the proper personnel (i.e. Execution mangers from depots, DLA/GSA) for getting correct problem resolution. Complies individual reports of current and projected work order status, section productivity/performance (weekly. Monthly). Processes Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and track such materials until resolved. Monitors each work order for prompt status changes. Informs Supervisor of any delays or unusual circumstances of work order requests. Direct workload assignment based on Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor guidance IAW established guidelines, priorities, governing rules, regulations, and policies. Operates materiel handling equipment (MHE) as required. Maintain workstation and department area in a highly professional manner and appearance Must be able to obtain a license to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as a forklift, etc. Performs other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
  • Minimum of 5 yrs of related leadership and team building experience at Technician/NCO level or higher
  • Minimum of 5 yrs of GCSS-Army (plant 2001 warehouse management) experience
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Must be able to lead a team working in areas that include hot, dusty, windy areas for prolong time periods.
  • Be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Be capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary applicable data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon proven applications or interpretation of systematic established guidelines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge to operate and perform required duties using Logistics Information System (LIS), Cargo Movement Operation System (CMOS) and normally approved office computer automation equipment.
  • Ability to produce reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience maintaining files with Army Record Information System (ARIMS).
  • An associate or higher degree in business, management, logistics or the equivalent military service schools graduations to verify the abilities and competence required to perform in a wide scope of supply related task
  • Former US Army MOS 92A or 920B preferred.
