Responsibilities
- Verifies accuracy of shipment by counting, weighting or measuring items and comparing to information on invoice or packing slip and purchase order.
- Inspect items for damages or defects such as spoilage, dents, and breakage.
- Performs temperature checks of potential hazardous foods.
- Attaches invoice to purchase order and forward to Dietary Office for recording.
- Prioritizes storage of items received, stocking frozen and refrigerated items immediately upon receipt.
- Stock grocery items stored at room temperature last.
- Carries, hand truck or pallet jack items from receiving area to proper storage areas.
