About The Position

Bull Dairy Foods, a 100% Australian owned and operated company with a long history in dairy production, is seeking an experienced Supply Planner. This role is crucial for delivering effective supply planning outcomes for a designated product category. Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, the successful candidate will manage supply plans over a 13-week to 24-month horizon, focusing on achieving inventory and service level targets while optimizing labor and production capacity. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive planning professional to enhance their supply chain, planning, and stakeholder management skills in a dynamic manufacturing setting. The role offers the chance to influence business performance through data-driven decisions, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will enjoy connecting people, processes, and technology, build credibility with manufacturing and commercial stakeholders, mentor others, and utilize ERP planning systems to make informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in supply planning, production planning, or master scheduling within a complex FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of supply planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
  • Detailed understanding of master scheduling, rough-cut capacity planning, inventory management, and supply-demand balancing.
  • Experience supporting or leading S&OP, capacity planning, and supply scenario development.
  • A strong technical understanding of ERP and advanced planning systems, including planning parameters, master data, system-generated recommendations, exception management, and data integrity.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP or a comparable ERP planning platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships and work effectively across Sales, Demand Planning, Operations, Production, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders, challenge constructively, and bring different functions together around an aligned supply plan.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing planning team members, with a genuine interest in building team capability.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Clear and concise written, verbal, and presentation skills that support effective operational and executive decision-making.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP IBP would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term supply plans that support inventory, customer service, capacity, and working-capital objectives.
  • Own tactical and strategic production plans across a rolling 13-week to 24-month planning horizon.
  • Balance supply and demand by identifying constraints, risks, and opportunities, and coordinating practical cross-functional responses.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Demand Planning, Sales, Production, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Lead supply planning inputs into the monthly S&OP process, including capacity planning, supply projections, scenario analysis, and long-term production planning.
  • Translate complex planning information into clear recommendations, reports, and business cases that enable timely decision-making.
  • Manage new product introductions, product transitions, and discontinuations to protect supply continuity and ensure effective execution.
  • Maintain planning master data, system parameters, and data integrity within ERP and advanced planning systems.
  • Use planning system functionality and data to identify exceptions, model scenarios, and improve the quality and speed of planning decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across supply planning processes, systems, governance, and performance measures.
  • Coach, mentor, and support Supply Planning team members, building capability, accountability, and consistent planning disciplines.
  • Support inventory optimization, capacity reviews, and long-term strategic planning to meet future business requirements.
  • Deliver reliable, efficient, and customer-focused supply chain outcomes in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
