Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
• Experience with SAP business or functional analytics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge of MS office products emphasis on Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to lead through influence and trusted collaboration rather than through authority

Responsibilities

• Review short-term and Long-term demand for steel products and create detailed production plans to meet that demand
• Partner with Demand Planning to understand forecast changes and demand variability
• Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
• Prepare supply planning inputs, capacity analysis, and inventory projections for S&OP reviews
• Identify risks and opportunities impacting supply, inventory, service, or cost performance
• Recommend corrective actions to align supply plans with business objectives
• Analyze root causes of supply disruptions and inventory issues
• Maintain 26-week detailed production schedule for multiple Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel mills located in the northeast United States
• Coordinate with operations teams in mills and ensure efficient sequence of production
• Work with schedulers to facilitate weekly production meetings with operations, logistics, and sales teams
• Provide forward looking analysis to adjust production to prevent over/under production
• Maintains data for production speeds / capacity
• Create and manage replenishment plans between mills and warehouse depots to support customer service objectives
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
