RoquetteMidland, TX
$83,000 - $115,000Onsite

About The Position

Roquette is a family-owned global leader in plant-based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients. We are seeking an experienced Supply Planner – Raw Materials & Production to oversee end-to-end raw material across two main sites in the US. This role serves as the critical link between raw material supply, production scheduling, and customer service — ensuring uninterrupted operations, optimal inventory levels, and on-time delivery to customers at a best-in-class level. The successful candidate will balance daily planning execution with tactical thinking, dedicating up to 10–20% of their time to leading continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing planning tools, processes, and overall supply chain performance in the network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in raw material planning, production scheduling, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end supply planning — from raw material procurement through production scheduling to customer delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAP, specifically SAP PPDS and Master Data management.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating/monitoring contract compliance, quality, and delivery performance.
  • History of leading or contributing to continuous improvement / process optimization initiatives within a supply chain or planning function.
  • Experience interfacing directly with cross-functional stakeholders, including manufacturing, customer service, procurement, and senior planning teams.
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles, including obsolescence/slow-moving stock reduction and inventory days optimization.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or complex single-site operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term raw material plans alongside detailed weekly/daily production schedules (via SAP PPDS) to align supply, demand, and inventory needs.
  • Act as the primary interface between manufacturing, supply chain, master planners, customer service, and local site material coordinators to ensure a smooth, aligned day-to-day planning process.
  • Set preferred stock levels, prevent excess or obsolete inventory, and manage inventory days, write-offs, and slow-moving stock.
  • Monitor the flow of materials through purchasing, storage, and production; proactively identify and resolve raw material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and quality issues.
  • Facilitate collaboration meetings with vendors and stakeholders to review forecasts, purchase orders, and operational issues, while managing key supplier relationships for quality, delivery, and contract compliance.
  • Issue, maintain, and communicate production schedules in line with business strategy (cost, rate, inventory, uptime), adjusting as needed in partnership with manufacturing teams.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customer service, ensuring order requirements, ATP (Available-to-Promise) processes, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Maintain accurate SAP master data and process orders to support scheduling, planning, and reporting accuracy.
  • Track and report key performance indicators across both sites, including capacity loading, production-to-plan, delivery-to-promise, inventory levels, and slow-moving/obsolete stock.
  • Lead and design new tools, processes, and initiatives to enhance planning capabilities, material availability, and overall supply chain performance across the two sites.
