About The Position

The Supply Manager leads the supply planning function for chemical manufacturing operations, balancing demand, supply, and inventory. The role ensures the availability of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods while optimizing inventory and supporting production schedules across multiple manufacturing sites. It requires knowledge of chemical or process-industry supply chains, finite and master production planning, long lead times, hazardous materials, regulatory requirements, and S&OP/IBP processes. The position is based at Arclin’s headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia, and reports to the Director of Global Supply Chain Planning. The Supply Manager develops supply plans, coordinates material availability and production capabilities, manages inventory targets and supply risks, and uses planning tools to generate optimized plans and maintain accurate data. The role tracks supply planning KPIs, uses performance insights to improve plans and report to leadership, and coordinates with commercial, demand planning, customer service, procurement, manufacturing, quality, EH&S, logistics, and regulatory teams. It also manages and develops supply and material planners and supports execution of S&OE and S&OP processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply plans for raw materials, intermediates, and finished chemical products across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Align production capabilities and material availability with forecasted demand, accounting for batch processing, campaign scheduling, and long lead times.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, quality, EH&S, and logistics teams to support material flow, compliance, and continuity.
  • Manage inventory targets to balance service requirements, working capital, and production efficiency, using MTO and MTS strategies as appropriate.
  • Support and facilitate S&OP, focusing on capacity planning, constrained supply scenarios, supply gap resolution, and long-range planning.
  • Monitor and mitigate supply risks, including raw material shortages, supplier constraints, regulatory changes, and safety-stock variances.
  • Use planning tools, including JD Edwards and Kinaxis Maestro, to generate optimized plans and maintain data accuracy.
  • Monitor supply planning KPIs, including inventory turnover and days of inventory on hand, on-time production and order fulfillment, capacity utilization, supplier lead-time adherence, safety-stock compliance, obsolete or slow-moving inventory, and production schedule adherence.
  • Use KPI insights to identify bottlenecks, adjust plans, and present supply chain performance to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Logistics and Regulatory teams on chemical safety standards, transportation regulations, and appropriate hazardous-material handling and storage in the planning process.
