The Supply Chain Technician supports hospital operations by receiving, stocking, distributing, and maintaining medical, surgical, and office supplies to ensure departments have the resources needed to deliver quality patient care. This role is responsible for inventory management, shipment processing, supply replenishment, and providing excellent customer service while supporting efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn inventory management, purchasing, and materials management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to accurately track inventory and complete documentation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, vendors, and other departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and equipment and perform the physical requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in supply chain, inventory management, warehouse operations, healthcare materials management, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by performing routine cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and updating inventory records as needed.
  • Stock and replenish medical, surgical, and office supplies throughout hospital departments to ensure uninterrupted patient care operations.
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, documenting receipts and reporting damaged, incorrect, or missing items to leadership.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and computer-assisted tools to track supplies, monitor usage trends, and maintain established par levels.
  • Deliver supplies, equipment, and materials to designated departments and facilities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide professional customer service by assisting staff, answering telephone inquiries, and supporting receiving dock and walk-up window operations.
  • Complete clerical and administrative tasks, including processing requisitions, maintaining supply records, and supporting departmental operations.
