About The Position

The Supply Chain Technician stocks and maintains supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. The role reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Duties include inventory counting and record maintenance, stocking and replenishment, receiving and delivering shipments, customer service, clerical and computer support, and processing outgoing mail. The position also involves the physical demands and exposure levels described in the posting.

Requirements

• Critical thinking and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and adjust inventory records as needed.
• Stock hospital units with office and medical supplies and prepare requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Receive shipments, log receipts, enter data into the inventory system, deliver items to departments or other facilities, and report or document errors and damages to management.
• Answer the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally, and route calls and messages appropriately.
• Complete clerical and computer tasks that support patient care delivery.
• Process outgoing mail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
