About The Position

The Supply Chain Technician stocks and maintains supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. The role reports to the Director or Manager of the Department. The technician also performs clerical and computer tasks that support patient care delivery and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Critical thinking and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and adjust inventory records as needed.
• Stock hospital units with office and medical supplies and prepare requisitions to maintain par levels.
• Receive shipments, log receipts, enter data into the inventory system, and deliver items to departments or other facilities.
• Report and document shipment errors or damages to management.
• Professionally answer the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window; route calls and messages appropriately.
• Complete clerical and computer tasks that support patient care delivery.
• Process outgoing mail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
