About The Position

UW Medical Center-Montlake Supply Chain Management is hiring a temporary, per-diem Supply Chain Technician 1. This fixed-duration appointment is anticipated to last 12 months. The role supports patient care by ensuring healthcare providers have access to needed medical supplies and equipment. The technician provides customer service, maintains and distributes supplies, manages rental equipment, and uses inventory and materials-management technology. The position is based at UW Medical Center-Montlake, an acute-care academic medical center in Seattle. The campus is adjacent to the University of Washington campus and has public transit options, including a nearby light rail station. The role offers an hourly pay range of $21.63 to $29.99. Benefits information is available for temporary, per-diem, and less-than-half-time employees.

Requirements

High school graduation.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications, except where legal requirements such as a license, certification, or registration apply.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining adequate stock of general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment.
Distribute general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout the hospital.
Manage rental equipment using Supply Chain point-of-use (POU) systems.
Use handheld devices, package scanners, and Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) to support proper inventory management and cost allocation.
