About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Supply Chain Tech receives, distributes, and stores supplies and equipment delivered to the Hospital accurately and promptly. The work includes documentation, communication, and a focus on customer service. The position requires thorough knowledge of processes across all shifts. Work hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and weekends are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of previous experience in material or supply inventory and/or distribution, purchasing, or a closely related field.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to operate a computerized inventory system.
• Ability to use a handheld scanner to issue and track inventory.
• Ability to work independently and use judgment and problem-solving skills as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Medical supply or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, distribute, and store supplies and equipment delivered to the Hospital accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete related documentation and communication while maintaining a focus on customer service.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of processes on all shifts.
• Use judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve customer-service issues and order discrepancies as needed.
