This role is responsible for maintaining overall inventory, and picking up and replenishing supplies, at assigned hospital work areas. The position requires tracking all related information using handheld computers. The Supply Chain Tech I is responsible for keeping supply areas neat and orderly to permit accurate counting of supplies and the identification and removal of outdated supplies. This role serves as the primary customer service liaison between Material Distribution and the nursing divisions/units relative to Periodic Area Replenishment (PAR) items. The individual is responsible for maintaining communications with designated nursing representatives to ensure timely and accurate information flow regarding shortages, outages, overstock, and other inventory problems and concerns. Accurate maintenance of shelf tag labels noting pertinent item information is also a key responsibility. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards, and abiding by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
