About The Position

This role provides support to internal and external customers by researching data on system and network related issues. The operator is responsible for maintaining the operation of system hardware through monitoring functionality, preventative maintenance, and identifying/resolving performance issues. They will also install, monitor, maintain, and repair system hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. The position involves responding to and resolving critical systems issues, such as system or hardware downtime, and handling urgent customer requests. Additionally, the operator will respond to customer calls regarding orders, claims, damages, and billing issues by researching and resolving system-related problems. Daily administrative tasks, including pass-down reports, billing, user access, coding, and filing, are also part of the role. The position requires coordinating and supporting security measures to safeguard information and troubleshooting all system and user issues (hardware and software), reporting status to management. Communication with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing is essential.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in an information systems related field (e.g., computer science, management information systems) OR 6 months experience as a Walmart Supply Chain associate AND 6 months experience in maintaining computer applications (e.g., networking, troubleshooting, email, spreadsheets, word processing) OR 1 year's experience in an information systems related field (e.g., computer science, management information systems)

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to internal and external customers by researching data on system and network related issues
  • Maintain operation of system hardware through monitoring functionality, preventative maintenance, identifying and reporting or resolving performance issues
  • Install, monitor, maintain, and repair system hardware, software, and peripheral equipment following design or installation specifications
  • Respond to and resolve critical systems issues (e.g., system or hardware down)
  • Respond and follow up on urgent customer requests
  • Respond to internal and external customer calls related to orders, claims, damages, billing issues, etc., by researching and resolving system-related issues
  • Perform daily administrative tasks including pass-down reports, billing, user access, coding, filing, etc.
  • Coordinate and support security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure
  • Troubleshoot all system and user issues (hardware and software)
  • Report issues and status to manager, leader, or customer throughout the troubleshooting process
  • Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates)
