As a Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist – Level 4 or 5, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA, Aurora, CO, Boulder, CO, Huntsville, AL, or Baltimore, MD. Remote work is not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree and 6+ year of related experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (for Level 4)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree and 10+ year of related experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (for Level 5)
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with Subcontracts, Procurement, Contracts or other related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship a prerequisite)

Responsibilities

  • Providing subcontracting process and compliance requirements guidance and subject matter expertise to junior Subcontract Specialists, Supplier Management Teams, and Integrated Product Team Leads across the Division.
  • Coordinating content for often lead Division Subcontracts Community of Excellence meetings and “open hours”
  • Training junior personnel in NG’s Principles and Operating Procedures (PrOP)
  • Being the Division GSC focal point for internal and external audits, including responses to internal and external information requests in coordination with Sector audit personnel.
  • Working in the general direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Performs independently with minimal management oversight.
  • Subject matter expertise in Commercial Identification Determinations (CID) process, as well as support to complicated CID packages
  • Providing subject matter expertise in all aspects of supplier and subcontract management.
  • Providing surge support for proposals and execution of subcontracts up to definitization to include: Prepare bid packages, conduct bidder conferences, and analyze and evaluate proposals. Negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administering resulting subcontracts.
  • Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
