About The Position

Scheels operates a growing warehouse network of four facilities totaling 750,000 square feet, a mix of Scheels-run and third-party logistics (3PL) operated facilities, all running on Scheels systems and technology. These facilities cross-dock cartons and pallets, receive inventory, and hold and organize products for store replenishment and E-Commerce fulfillment. The Supply Chain Specialist supports the daily execution of this network. This position serves as the primary Scheels point of contact for one of our facilities, making sure the systems are operational, purchase orders are set up correctly, the teams know the plan ahead of time, and the follow-up happens to confirm it's getting done. This position teaches teams how to use our systems, sets clear expectations, and supports the inventory management practices that keep our numbers accurate and our product flowing. This position helps guide our facility partners alongside the Warehouse Operations Leader and the broader team, leads weekly meetings to teach and give feedback, and serves as the daily connection point between the facility and the rest of Scheels: buyers, stores, E-Commerce, Logistics, IT, Vendor Compliance, and Accounts Payable. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys pushing things across the finish line. A strong communicator with a high level of execution, urgency, and follow-through.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
  • 2–5 years in supply chain, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communicator who can build trust with 3PL partners, vendors, buyers, warehouse teams, and store teams
  • Comfortable learning and working in warehouse management systems; experience with a WMS, EDI, or inventory systems is a plus
  • Comfortable in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail) or equivalent programs
  • Ability to travel to facilities (quarterly overnight visits; more frequent day trips if assigned to St. Cloud)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main Scheels point of contact for an assigned facility, supporting the daily needs of the team on the ground and resolving issues as they arise, including system problems, space concerns, damages, shortages, and vendor returns
  • Help manage facility performance and execution alongside the Warehouse Operations Leader and team
  • Lead weekly meetings to teach, set expectations, and provide feedback
  • Verify purchase orders are set up correctly and communicate the inbound plan ahead of time, then follow up to confirm execution
  • Partner with IT to troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues
  • Track inbound PO flow and scheduling, keeping communication moving between buyers, facilities, and stores
  • Support inventory accuracy practices: cycle counts, targeted counts, and receiving discrepancy resolution
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and claim issues
  • Partner with Vendor Compliance on damage and shortage claims, working with facility teams to close them out
  • Work with buyers to develop the plan for items before arrival and while inventory is in the facility
  • Support store teams on inbound issues such as shortages, damages, ETAs, and tracking open orders, with quick turnaround
  • Research and resolve E-Commerce order issues, coordinating with facility teams to keep fulfillment moving
  • Monitor outbound order execution for store fulfillment and E-Commerce, supporting facility teams to keep orders shipping on time and accurately
