About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist IV within Global Clinical Supply Chain (GCSC) Delivery team is responsible for supporting the execution and oversight of global clinical trial material distribution activities to depots and investigator sites. This role performs routine and moderately complex supply chain activities, coordinates shipments, monitors inventory levels, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support study timelines and patient supply continuity. The position applies working knowledge of clinical supply planning, inventory management, logistics, and global distribution processes to ensure reliable execution of supply chain activities. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, data integrity, compliance, and operational excellence while developing expertise in global clinical supply chain management and logistics.

Requirements

BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline and at least 4+ years of experience.
OR MS degree and at 2+ years of experience
Works on assignments ranging from routine to moderately non-routine in nature where independent action and initiative are required.
Applies working knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, logistics operations, and industry practices.
Demonstrates working knowledge of manufacturing operations, cGMP requirements, GDP standards, and quality documentation practices.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to recognize deviations from established processes and recommend corrective actions.
Demonstrates sound judgment in resolving routine and moderately complex supply chain issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple factors and recommend solutions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Establishes effective working relationships across organizational, geographic, and cultural boundaries.
Receives little instruction on routine work and general guidance on new assignments.

Nice To Haves

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical supply chain, or other highly regulated industries.
Experience supporting global clinical trial supply chain operations, inventory management, CMO/CRO or planning activities.
Familiarity with import/export requirements, customs documentation, and international shipment processes.
Knowledge of temperature-controlled logistics and cold-chain distribution requirements.
Experience using ERP systems (SAP and/or Oracle), IRT systems, shipment tracking applications, or inventory management tools.
Experience working with Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, Veeva Vault, and other supply chain business systems.
Experience supporting process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Experience developing reports, metrics, and operational tracking tools.

Responsibilities

Coordinate global clinical supply delivery activities, including depot, site, and cross-border shipments, to support study timelines and patient supply continuity.
Monitor shipment status, inventory levels, and material movements; identify potential risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
Process and manage stock transfers, inventory adjustments, returns, and material movements within applicable systems.
Maintain accurate supply chain records, transactions, and documentation to ensure data integrity and system accuracy.
Coordinate with depots, couriers, freight forwarders, manufacturing sites, and internal stakeholders to support timely shipment execution and issue resolution.
Generate, review, and maintain supply chain documentation, including shipment records, material transfer requests, purchase orders, work orders, and related documentation.
Compile, analyze, and report inventory, shipment, and supply chain performance data to support business decisions and operational activities.
Support planning, forecasting, inventory management, and distribution activities through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
Assist with document management activities, including document uploads and quality review of supply chain documentation.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, SOPs, import/export requirements, and company procedures.
Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance-related activities as required.
Support process improvement initiatives, operational excellence projects, and system enhancements.
Provide training and guidance to less experienced Supply Chain personnel when appropriate.
