About The Position

Solar Turbines Incorporated is hiring for the role of Supply Chain Senior Supervisor within the Indirect Procurement organization, responsible for the Non-Manufacturing / Corporate Services related categories. You will lead a dynamic, single-site team of Buyers (Procurement Specialists); approximately 5-7 direct reports. Your leadership will build, develop, and mentor a high performing team to execute global supplier strategies, drive quality, delivery, and cost improvements across the supply base, ensure a robust supplier strategy and resiliency, and foster a culture of excellence and ethical leadership across a diverse organization. As a key leader of the Global Supply Chain team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders to ensure execution of business requirements. Internal customers will include: Engineering, IT / Digital, Business Management, Marketing, HR, Medical. You will own and execute sourcing strategies for Non-Manufacturing / Corporate Services related categories, including but not limited to: Third Party Labor, Engineering Services, R&D, Professional Services, IT Hardware, Software, Hospitality, Audit & Compliance, Procurement Card Program Management. You will lead contract negotiations and ensure compliant purchasing execution with suppliers to build a competitive advantage through a high performing supply base.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with strong experience in the Purchasing & Procurement job function
Fluent in Business English in written and oral form
Knowledge of leadership practices and processes
Knowledge of category management within an organization’s goods and services sector
Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes
Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of goods or services
Knowledge of policies, standards and processes of how to manage and administer contracts
Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree with at least 10-12 years, or Master’s degree with at least 7-10 years, of purchasing and procurement experience
Experience with identified purchasing categories
Experience in managing complex and long-term contractual agreements (various contract types including Master Agreements, Schedules, Statements of Work, Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements)
Experience in interpreting and negotiating contractual elements, both legal and commercial in nature (including Confidentiality, Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Indemnification, Limit of Liability, Warranty)
Experience in the development of long-term supplier relationships
Experience in the development of strategic sourcing strategies
Sound analytical skills and problem-solving ability
Solid communication skills, high initiative, assertiveness, and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of generally accepted purchasing practices and policies
