Supply Chain Senior Analyst

Best BuyRichfield, MN
Hybrid

About The Position

At Best Buy, we create meaningful experiences for our customers across every channel. As the Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Network Insights & Performance, you will provide analytical synthesis that supports network-level strategy, tradeoff decisions, and supply chain performance monitoring and diagnosis. You will compare scenarios, run sensitivity analyses, and translate complex model outputs and operational signals into clear, actionable insights for leaders. This role sits adjacent to the tools, focusing on interpretation, implications, and communication rather than platform ownership. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some dates on site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team, and the recruiter or hiring manager will provide additional details during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, finance, operations, supply chain, or strategy roles.
  • Proficiency with analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel) and experience turning data into executive-facing insights.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, define assumptions, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to clarity and audience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., business, economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics) or equivalent experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience with supply chain network concepts (distribution, transportation, omnichannel fulfillment) and interpreting optimization/modeling outputs.
  • 1 or more years of experience building scenario comparisons, sensitivity analyses, and recommendation memos for leaders.
  • 1 or more years of SQL, Python, Tableau/Power BI, or similar tooling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Compare end-to-end network scenarios and summarize tradeoffs in cost, speed, capacity, service, labor, and risk.
  • Perform sensitivity and “what-if” analyses to understand how demand volatility, constraints, or policy changes impact outcomes.
  • Monitor network performance signals across pillars and surface leading indicators of instability or brittleness.
  • Produce recurring performance monitoring outputs (e.g., scorecards, trend views, exception summaries) and provide root-cause insights on variances to support timely decisions and corrective actions.
  • Synthesize inputs from multiple sources (strategy, modeling outputs, operational data, and stakeholder context) into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Build executive-ready materials (briefs, summaries, simple visuals/tables) that make complex information easy to act on.
  • Maintain documentation of assumptions, methods, and decision rationale to support repeatability and transparency.
