About The Position

Clemens Food Group is seeking a Supply Chain Scheduler to coordinate livestock deliveries from producer partners to its Coldwater facility. The role balances supplier needs with plant capacity and operational priorities, influencing production efficiency, supplier relationships, and the company’s ability to meet business commitments. The scheduler collaborates with Procurement, Operations, and other business teams while developing an understanding of the supply chain. The position requires onsite presence, including approximately 2–3 days per week in the plant after fully on-site training.

• Comfort working with Excel and learning new scheduling systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly when priorities, supply conditions, or operational needs change.
• Strong communication skills and a relationship-focused mindset.
• Willingness to learn the complexities of livestock procurement and plant operations.
• Agricultural experience is helpful but not required; transferable experience in scheduling, supply chain coordination, operations, logistics, or related environments is also considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily and weekly livestock delivery schedules aligned with plant capacity, production targets, and business needs.
• Coordinate with livestock producers and internal stakeholders, balancing relationships with operational expectations.
• Anticipate disruptions, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions to keep operations moving.
• Monitor delivery timing, scheduling accuracy, and plant flow to minimize delays and improve performance.
• Communicate schedule changes, potential risks, and emerging challenges to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen scheduling processes, improve accuracy, and create sustainable solutions.
