Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor’s of Science degree.
  • 2+ years of experience with Supply Chain and/or Logistics.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics at a high-speed manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with Google or Microsoft Administrative applications.
  • Experience with Just-In-Sequence Systems.
  • Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels for assigned raw material and component families.
  • Monitor Master Production Schedule (MPS) achievement and propose preventative actions for material availability.
  • Establish and maintain optimal raw material and component inventory levels.
  • Define and lead initiatives to reduce inventory for component families.
  • Measure and report Supplier Service Rate (SSR) for each supplier.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve supplier service levels.
  • Track and report daily inventory levels for raw materials and components.
  • Ensure material and component availability to meet complete customer demand.
  • Plan raw material and component requirements based on Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) and MPS.
  • Anticipate potential impacts with suppliers and production.
  • Validate and issue weekly forecasts to suppliers.
  • Monitor daily material arrivals against firm orders and ensure on-time supplier shipments.
  • Communicate precise and reliable information to supplier contacts, adapting communication methods and frequency.
  • Identify and resolve blocking points through prompt action plans.
  • Participate in Logistics/Purchasing meetings and follow up on action plans.
  • Propose action plans for material shortages with team support and communicate them to Customer Support.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain improvement tools and methods (e.g., Pull flow, Kanban, EDI, Milk run) with relevant departments.
  • Define inbound transportation plans with the External Flow Analyst.
  • Actively support inventory counting and propose actions to maintain inventory accuracy in cooperation with ERP and inventory control analysts.
  • Alert sales in case of crisis (customer or internal) to define priorities and follow associated action plans.
  • Escalate issues when necessary.
  • Meet regularly with key supplier contacts.
  • Propose logistics protocols with suppliers in cooperation with the External Flow Analyst and Purchasing.
  • Ensure supplier account coverage and train backups.
  • Manage supplier account coverage during holidays, ensuring notification of absences and designated contacts.
