About The Position
Gordon Food Service is offering a 12-week paid internship program at their Home Office. This program provides firsthand experience and meaningful projects that impact the business. Interns will work alongside industry professionals, receive mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities to explore various aspects of the food service industry. The internship is designed to help participants build connections, careers, and a future within one of North America's largest food service distributors.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in releasing Purchase Orders and replenishing items to support customer in-stock performance.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service levels, days on hand, and product loss.
- Collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and expedite deliveries.
- Supporting inventory management activities, including seasonal buys, product conversions, and obsolete inventory reviews.
- Embedding directly with a team that treats AI as a core collaborator, gaining hands-on experience using and developing intelligent systems to deliver real-world business impact.
