About The Position

The Supply Chain Project Manager leads purchasing, material planning, inventory control, and supplier performance to support Elcon Precision’s production, quality, delivery, and customer requirements. The role develops and implements supply chain solutions, supports cross‑functional initiatives, mentors junior staff, and drives continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality‑system requirements, and U.S. export‑control obligations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, planning, or materials management
Strong background in precision manufacturing, aerospace/defense, semiconductor, electronics, or other regulated environments.
Expertise in purchasing, supplier management, planning, inventory control, and manufacturing supply chain practices.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to interpret production requirements, bills of material, lead times, inventory data, and supplier metrics.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of quality‑management systems, controlled‑document practices, and ITAR/export‑control requirements.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across functions.
High integrity, accountability, discretion, and attention to detail.
Organized, proactive, collaborative, and effective in fast‑paced manufacturing environments.
Strong commitment to quality, compliance, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Experience in process engineering, quality engineering, or technical sales is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day purchasing, planning, inventory control, and supplier coordination.
Create and maintain material and purchasing plans aligned with demand, production schedules, lead times, and business priorities.
Select, qualify, and manage suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery commitments.
Monitor supplier quality, delivery, responsiveness, capacity, and cost; lead corrective actions when needed.
Maintain inventory levels that support production while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and working‑capital impact.
Resolve shortages, past‑due orders, long‑lead items, and supply bottlenecks; communicate risks proactively.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Finance on supply decisions and operational objectives.
Support engineering changes, product transitions, and new product introductions by coordinating sourcing and supplier readiness.
Maintain purchasing records, traceability documentation, certifications, and controlled information according to procedures.
Use ERP/MRP tools to maintain accurate purchasing, planning, supplier, and inventory data.
Track and improve KPIs including supplier on‑time delivery, supplier quality, purchase‑price performance, shortages, and inventory accuracy.
Identify and mitigate supply continuity risks such as single‑source suppliers, long lead times, capacity issues, or logistics disruptions.
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits through accurate documentation and compliance evidence.
Ensure compliance with purchasing controls, confidentiality requirements, quality standards, and export‑control rules.
Protect controlled technical data and escalate any compliance concerns.
Lead supply chain continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Perform duties according to established procedures and work instructions.
Complete additional responsibilities as needed.
