Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager, Cost Out. This is a remote work opportunity available within the US/PR. Candidates can be based from a home office and/or within an approved Eaton Mobility location. The Supply Chain Project Manager, Cost Out will be responsible for projects and initiatives such as cost out, resiliency, continuity, and localization projects within Mobility Group North America. The Project Manager will act as the primary conduit between the business unit(s) it supports and the SCM organization within Mobility Group. This role will coordinate activities with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and other cross-functional groups to meet all project timing, cost, and quality requirements. The role will manage SCM tactical implementation of strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with commodity management strategies. The role will also manage & track key metrics in the global supplier cost out database. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. What you’ll do: This role will lead SCM activities for new projects by collaborating with SCM Program Management teams and Business Unit product line teams. This role will accurately estimate component and tooling costs, manage costed bills of materials, confirm supplier capacity, and develop associated action plans. They will provide managers and the product line with the information they need to submit competitive proposals and price products appropriately. Manage SCM deliverables and collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure successful execution of Mobility SCM Cost Out & Transition projects, including project timing, cost, and quality deliverables. Oversee and track timely execution of supplier tooling kickoffs, development, PPAP, and other launch deliverables. Build and managed costed BOMs by working with Commodity/Category Managers and strategic suppliers, including component and tooling costs, lead times, and capacity analysis for key projects. Represent SCM and participate in supplier APQP activities within project scope. Represent and lead SCM function in PROLaunch and gate reviews, where applicable. Problem solve and deal effectively with roadblocks and risks, developing mitigation plans and escalating as required; identifying and communicating risks efficiently to avoid impact to project deliverables. Work with SCM Program Management and Engineering to understand current BOM product costs, designs, specifications, manufacturing processes, and commodity market drivers. Support selection of appropriate components manufacturing type, processes, and raw materials in conjunction with Commodity Mgmt, Manufacturing & Engineering. Coordinate with commodity teams to ensure strategies align with strategic and profit plans.
