Supply Chain Planning Specialist 2 or 3
About The Position
Northrop Grumman Space Sector is hiring a Supply Chain Planning Specialist at Level 2 or Level 3 in Oxnard, California. The position is 100% onsite and follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. Travel is 25% of the time. The role is contingent upon program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding before the start date. The specialist tracks material deliveries from receipt through program closeout, coordinates vendor processing and testing, oversees material returns, analyzes demand and fulfillment paths, and manages inventory and supply-chain performance. The role coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to address supplier delivery and quality issues, manages procurement and scheduling activities, maintains relevant material and configuration data, and reports status and mitigation plans. The job may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3.
Requirements
- For Level 2: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional experience in supply chain, subcontracts, contracts, procurement, or other relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with no professional experience.
- For Level 2: An additional 4 or more years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- For Level 3: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of professional experience in supply chain, subcontracts, contracts, procurement, or other relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree and 3 years of such experience, or a PhD and 1 year of such experience.
- For Level 3: An additional 4 or more years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Costpoint.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in PLM systems (Cognos/Teams Center).
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Previous experience in inventory, manufacturing, procurement, contracts, and subcontracts.
Responsibilities
- Track deliveries and oversee them from receipt through program closeout.
- Coordinate outside vendor processing and testing.
- Oversee return-to-vendor (RTV) material.
- Analyze demand and determine the fulfillment path.
- Analyze inventory, including shelf life, revalidation, and items under revision.
- Provide IPT status reporting.
- Report “Buy” part deliverables against need dates and develop mitigation plans with stakeholders where appropriate.
- Engage appropriate internal and external stakeholders to resolve supplier delivery and quality issues.
- Coordinate scheduling with appropriate stakeholders.
- Publish EBOM as required by the site.
- Create Material Masters and validate data as required by the site.
- Resolve Configuration Control / Change Control Worksheets (CCWs).
- Define and manage attrition.
- Manage “Buy” part performance against organizational metric thresholds and escalate for resolution as appropriate under the Service Level Agreement.
- Perform demand loading, procurement release, and Auto PO release for line flow and plant stock.
- Enter independent critical demand.
- Load target prices in applicable requisitions.
- Manage notes and dock dates on purchase requisitions and purchase orders for respective suppliers as required by the site.
