About The Position

Are you passionate about building resilient supply chains and driving operational excellence across a manufacturing network? As a Supply Chain Planning Lead, you will play a critical role in aligning customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability, and inventory strategy across RHI Magnesita's North American operations. This highly visible leadership role partners closely with Operations, Procurement, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to develop executable supply plans, mitigate supply risks, optimize network performance, and drive continuous improvement. You will also help advance planning capabilities through Integrated Business Planning (IBP), S&OP, S&OE processes, and modern planning technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, materials planning, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
  • Experience leading planning processes, cross-functional initiatives, projects, or teams within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong expertise in: Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, Materials Planning / MRP, Inventory Management, Supply Risk Management, IBP, S&OP, and S&OE processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including capacity modeling, inventory analysis, scenario planning, and KPI management.
  • Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience with o9 Solutions, SAP IBP, SAP APO, Kinaxis, or similar planning platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP), Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supply planning activities supporting IBP, S&OP, and S&OE processes.
  • Develop supply, inventory, and capacity scenarios to support strategic business decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to create customer-focused, executable supply plans.
  • Own short- and long-term capacity planning across North American manufacturing sites.
  • Balance internal and external production resources while proactively managing constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels, reduce lead times, lower costs, and optimize network performance.
  • Oversee MRP processes and planning parameters for critical raw materials and components.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Operations to identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support sourcing initiatives that strengthen supply continuity and business resilience.
  • Execute inventory strategies that balance customer service, working capital, and operational objectives.
  • Improve planning accuracy, inventory health, and execution performance.
  • Reduce supply disruptions, premium freight expenses, and excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Lead planning transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive the adoption and optimization of advanced planning tools such as o9, SAP IBP, and related technologies.
  • Use analytics, KPIs, and scenario modeling to improve decision-making and responsiveness.
  • Lead a distributed supply planning team supporting operations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
  • Serve as the primary planning partner to Operations and Production Scheduling teams.
  • Work closely with plant leadership to strengthen planning discipline and execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
