Hear about the Caterpillar Experience for yourself Role Definition The Supply Chain Planning Engineer (Warehouse Lead) is responsible for facility supply chain performance levels and corporate targets for inventory reduction, increasing inventory turns, and improving order-to-delivery results. This position leads facility efforts to run multiple projects to develop and implement the plan for every part, pull material replenishment, warehousing, autonomy, and improved throughput efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.

  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics and/or manufacturing engineering
  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
  • Experience with AGVs and other automated solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerBi, Project Management

Responsibilities

  • Warehouse strategy and planning
  • Warehouse facility health
  • Capacity forecast planning
  • Supplier relationship management for external Warehousing
  • Strategic Buffer Planning
  • Deliver on key critical OPACC Improvement Initiatives including automated material handling and Warehouse optimization
  • Identifying, defining, and implementing integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities.
  • Establishing effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.
  • Investigating and incorporating industry benchmarks, metrics and best practices to develop optimal supply chains for suppliers and/or product sets.
  • Developing and analyzing data and information to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving performance and creating more cost-effective supply chains, inventory utilization, and business partnerships.
