About The Position

The Supply Chain Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials required to support Aftermarket Parts Distribution Network, while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role works closely with Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customer Service to balance supply and demand, minimize shortages, and support operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience or 4+ years of relevant expeirence in lieu of degree.
  • Fundamental understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management, and supply-and-demand principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, and Suppliers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP ECC and SAP Service Parts Planning (SPP).
  • Knowledge of Canton Kitting Operations and material flow processes.
  • Experience in materials planning, inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working with supplier performance metrics, forecasting, and replenishment processes.
  • Familiarity with aftermarket parts distribution and service supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimization methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely availability of purchased parts to support Aftermarket Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs), dealers, and end customers while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with External and Internal Suppliers, Purchasing, Canton Operations, and Customer Service teams to balance supply and demand and minimize backorders.
  • Manage supplier performance to achieve on-time delivery targets and support PDC fill rate objectives.
  • Develop and monitor recovery plans for past-due shipments and participate in sourcing and resourcing discussions as needed.
  • Analyze supplier capacity, lead times, and delivery performance to proactively identify and address supply risks.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate material shortages, inventory imbalances, and excess inventory risks.
  • Utilize SAP SPP and ECC systems to review forecasts, manage supplier schedules, and maintain planning parameters.
  • Monitor daily and weekly supply chain performance reports and take action on critical backorders, supplier shortages, and fill-rate-impacting parts.
  • Respond to customer and dealer inquiries regarding part availability and order status using APC case management software.
  • Support supply chain and operational improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, service levels, and inventory performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within planning, inventory management, and supplier management activities.
  • Escalate critical supply issues and provide timely communication to key stakeholders.
