About The Position

Aston Carter is hiring a Supply Chain Planner for a large tech company in the Seattle/Kirkland area. This is a contract position that requires onsite work. The role involves a mix of computer-based tasks (around 50%) and physical tasks within a warehouse setting (around 50%). The planner will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, leveling work orders, analyzing inventory, executing purchase orders, and delivering kits to production. This role requires adaptability to change, as processes may pivot quickly. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant experience either as an Associate Planner or Associate Buyer.
  • Highly organized self-starting.
  • Comfortable with business software such as Excel.
  • Flexible.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines while working on several projects simultaneously.
  • Willing to lift 50 lbs.
  • Standing throughout potentially whole shift.
  • Bending stooping twisting.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience can be flexible if education is not present.
  • Adaptable to change, as the environment may involve frequent and rapid changes.
  • Experience in a warehouse setting perspective.
  • Familiarity with SAP, pivot tables, vlookup, data analysis, planning, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in data accuracy so all tools and processes function as expected.
  • Level load work orders to maintain productivity and meet demand.
  • Analyze inventory position and sku performance to determine inventory needs.
  • Execute on a variety of purchase order in-stock and vendor related systems and reports.
  • Delivery completed kits to production spaces to ensure seamless execution.
  • Researching, managing shortages, mitigating shortages, helping with transfers and coordinating with the floor.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams directly, helping with Kanban processes and directly taking things to the floor.
  • Utilizing Jira system to pre-emptively backfill kits to ensure they always have something in the pipeline.
  • Carrying full kits, inspecting full kits of products that will be going to the floor for specific work orders.
  • Quickly identifying what an assembly is based on labels/etc.
  • Transferring kits to physically take out to the floor for Kanban practices.
