About The Position

Indoronix is seeking a Supply Chain Planner II to oversee and manage materials and subcontractors for ship modernization, conversion, and overhaul programs. This role ensures contract execution aligns with customer requirements and safety/environmental regulations. The Supply Chain Planner II will communicate contract specifications, schedules, and expectations to internal teams and subcontractors, monitor subcontractor performance, and conduct ship checks and onboard inspections. This position also involves identifying project variances, reporting risks and issues with corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Support for developing production schedules, manpower planning, and milestone tracking is also a key responsibility, along with resolving subcontractor issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of ship repair and shipbuilding processes
  • Experience in project management, coordination, and execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics (SPI, CPI, BAC)
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (NAVSEA, USCG, ABS, OSHA, FAR/DFAR)
  • 5+ years of experience in ship repair or shipbuilding environment
  • Hands-on experience working on US Navy ships
  • Experience in scheduling, production planning, and supply chain operations
  • Ability to perform shipboard walkthroughs, climb ladders, and work onboard vessels

Responsibilities

  • Support development of production schedules, manpower planning, and milestone tracking.
  • Resolve subcontractor issues and escalate critical concerns when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, QA, Environmental, Production Support).
