About The Position

The Supply Chain Planner II is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet demand requirements at both the branch and SKU level. This role may involve purchasing full goods and/or executing branch replenishment activities, and occasionally performing production planning tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 1 year of purchasing or planning responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • APICS certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper full goods inventory levels for assigned area/locations using SAP and Blue Yonder Planning Modules.
  • Create optimized replenishment loads (purchased or DRP) to minimize logistical costs.
  • Maintain PP and MRP profiles to ensure the integrity and full utilization of SAP Production and Capacity Modules for purchased products.
  • Maintain SAP coverage profiles for each sales facility within the assigned area.
  • Collaborate with the Demand Manager, Sales Centers, and operations teams to support new product rollouts, promotional packaging, and holiday inventory planning for purchased products.
  • Participate in the review of inventory levels and warehouse capacity, initiating and coordinating necessary product movements to prevent stockouts, expired products, overstock, and warehouse capacity issues.
  • Work with the Demand Analyst on SAP material set-ups and sourcing changes for purchased products.
  • Report on close-dated inventory and work to reduce Breakage Damage and Loss (BDL) due to product age.
  • Collaborate with the Demand Manager to improve the Business Unit's Uniform Forecasting Process.
  • Participate in SKU management analysis to identify underperforming SKUs.
  • Provide data to business unit and Area leadership to aid in decision-making.
  • Host daily collaboration conference calls to communicate key product information across the business unit and address immediate product shortage needs.
  • Maintain SAP system parameters for purchased and produced full goods.
  • Manage vendors' brands with various lead times to maintain proper inventory levels.
