The Supply Chain Operations Manager will lead the department's Associates by creating and sharing a common vision and direction, ensuring an understanding of the organization's strategy. This role involves communicating and collaborating with managers and Associates from other areas to manage and accomplish operational objectives. The manager will support and coordinate with managers at all levels to achieve unit and supply chain goals, ensuring the timeliness, quality, and effectiveness of all processes within their area of responsibility. They will direct the team on activities and processes that enable a Customer First Service strategy, ensuring merchandise is delivered accurately and on time. The role includes planning and managing departmental programs to ensure complex processes are followed accurately and efficiently on a multi-shift basis, and resolving problems to keep activities on track, initiating crisis management if necessary. The manager will observe and review Associate performance, provide direction, coaching, feedback, and recognition, and promote good communication throughout the department. They will also communicate issues with Associates in other logistics units and the Home Office, and build and maintain business relationships with external service providers.
