About The Position

Accenture is seeking a Supply Chain and Operations professional to help Fortune 500 clients develop strategies and operating models. This role involves integrating planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing, and fulfillment functions, as well as connecting suppliers and customers across extended supply chains. The consultant will use data skills to implement strategies that improve the entire supply chain process by applying cost efficiency, increasing business effectiveness, and fostering collaboration. Strong communication skills are essential to convey ideas and ensure timely project execution. The position also focuses on Sourcing and Procurement strategy, assisting clients in optimizing procurement processes, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency through data analysis and the development of sourcing strategies to reduce costs and enhance supplier performance. The role requires a collaborative team player capable of translating complex ideas into actionable solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain roles.
  • External consulting experience at a consulting firm or internal consulting experience in a role equivalent to the Consultant level within industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 10 years' work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with procurement software tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud).
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • The proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Excel in building and developing relationships, overseeing complex programs and demonstrating leadership.
  • Earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • A functional-level understanding of technology solutions.
  • Can use the latest data analytics tools to spot opportunities for improvement.
  • Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).

Responsibilities

  • Develop Sourcing Strategies: Support the creation and execution of sourcing initiatives that align with client objectives and reduce procurement costs.
  • Procurement Process Optimization: Analyze current procurement processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
  • Supplier Management & Negotiation: Assist in supplier negotiations and building relationships, ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics to monitor procurement metrics, track supplier performance, and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to understand their needs and translate those needs into actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Technology Integration: Assist in the integration of digital tools to improve procurement workflows and drive automation.
  • Project Delivery: Support project teams to ensure that sourcing strategies are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals
