The Supply Chain Manager is a data-driven, process-oriented professional with deep experience in the aerospace industry leading the planning and procurement functions. This role is critical to transforming the ERP system into a single source of truth, driving 95%+ On-Time Delivery (OTD), and optimizing inventory performance. The Supply Chain Manager makes certain that materials arrive exactly when needed to support production and customer commitments. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to drive accountability across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in Aerospace & Defense
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification required
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ITAR/EAR regulations, and traceability requirements
  • Advanced ERP experience and strong Excel skills
  • Proven experience leading and developing planners and buyers
  • Strong understanding of MRP, inventory planning, and supply chain fundamentals
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable decisions
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of planners and buyers to meet production and customer requirements
  • Drive accountability, performance, and continuous improvement across the team
  • Establish clear priorities, workflows, and execution standards
  • Lead the transition to full ERP utilization
  • Ensure ERP serves as the single source of truth for planning and procurement
  • Audit and maintain master data (lead times, BOMs, safety stock) to support accurate MRP
  • Oversee the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align capacity with demand
  • Ensure material availability supports production timelines and customer delivery
  • Implement cycle counting programs and ABC analysis
  • Reduce excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory while maintaining service levels
  • Optimize inventory turns and improve inventory accuracy
  • Lead supplier performance management and procurement strategy
  • Negotiate long-term agreements (LTAs) and manage supplier relationships
  • Ensure compliance within an AS9100 environment
  • Drive Lean or Six Sigma initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across the order-to-cash cycle
  • Standardize processes and improve operational flow
