About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's supply chain operations, including inventory management, procurement, vendor relationships, purchasing strategies, and cost control initiatives. This role ensures the timely availability of materials and products while maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing costs, and supporting operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, inventory planning, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, forecasting, purchasing, and supplier management.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory requirements based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and business demands.
  • Identify inventory needs and maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent shortages, excess inventory, and operational disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics, including turnover rates, carrying costs, and service levels.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with company objectives, budget requirements, and market conditions.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and favorable contract terms.
  • Create long-term procurement plans to support business growth and operational needs.
  • Evaluate purchasing trends and market fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze supply chain costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Develop strategies to balance inventory investment with service and operational requirements.
  • Monitor purchasing expenditures and ensure procurement activities remain within budget.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supplier performance, reduce waste, and optimize transportation and logistics costs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations based on quality, delivery performance, pricing, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements that maximize value and mitigate risk.
  • Resolve supply issues and implement contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Utilize ERP systems and inventory management tools to analyze purchasing, inventory, and supply chain performance.
  • Generate reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory accuracy, supplier performance, cost savings, and procurement efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, finance, and sales teams to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals.
  • Lead and mentor supply chain, purchasing, and inventory personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and inventory management processes.
