The Supply Chain Manager, located on site in Fairfield, OH, will be responsible for leading the Production Planning, Material Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Warehousing functions within the Standex Electronics Operations department. This role is a key member of the local site leadership and will report to the Operations Manager. The manager will lead a team of Planners, Buyers, and Warehouse Associates, and set clear roles/responsibilities, communicate the deliverable metrics for success, and drive accountability and results. The leader will have direct reports and indirect reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of supply chain or operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Must have experience with Oracle
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS/CPIM/CSCP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams across planning, purchasing, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Cascade target KPIs, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage the budget provided by Finance. Submit adjustments and own actual variances and corrective actions.
  • Manage the site-level SIOP function, including revenue forecast and execution.
  • Oversee creation and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Balance capacity, labor, and material availability to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Sales to align production with business priorities.
  • Manage the Labor Planning tool and escalate when planned capacity exceeds available.
  • Ensure Work Orders are closed in a timely manner with variances documented and escalated to Process Engineering when costs exceed plan.
  • Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and services.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure supplier performance.
  • Evaluate sourcing strategies to ensure cost effectiveness and supply continuity.
  • Support Sourcing efforts by shifting volume to ‘Grow’ vendors
  • Develop a proactive PPV funnel and drive action items to deliver YOY cost savings
  • Proactive management of ERP settings, including Lead times, MOQs, and EOQs.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material handling, factory kitting, and shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and inventory-handling standards.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and staffing efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and records across all locations.
  • Drive ERP changes when needed to accurately display inventory that matches physical locations
  • Implement cycle counts, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions for discrepancies.
