About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager to join the Mechanical Standards Operations Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift. We ensure stability in our supply chain to allow Boeing to build the most advanced commercial aircraft in the world. We build strong relationships with our world class suppliers to ensure quality parts arrive when we need them Position Responsibilities: Manages Procurement Agent employees performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Engineering or Manufacturing
  • 1+ years of experience in a formal/informal leadership role
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally
  • Strong leadership skills that can align a team to a common goal for overall team success

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in a formal/informal leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and applying metrics to enable key business decisions and process improvement
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining and/or developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics
  • 3+ years of experience applying LEAN principles and/or Standard/Standardized work
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience utilizing standard project management tools
  • External Supply Chain Experience
  • Supply Chain Experience in a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
