About The Position

We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager for our plant in the Portland area. This role involves leading Procurement, Scheduling, and Receiving departments, driving continuous improvement, developing strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions, and collaborating with suppliers. Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis are also key components of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Three plus years in an operations leadership role with direct reports.
  • Five plus years in a manufacturing setting with a demonstrated history of career advancement.
  • Expert level Excel skills for data analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain Management and Industrial Engineering disciplines preferred.
  • Experience in production planning, procurement, and inventory control is desired.
  • Prior experience in oversite of multiple departments in a made-to-order manufacturing facility.
  • Knowledge of inventory replenishment methods (Min/Max, Reorder Point, Kanban, MRP, etc.).
  • Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM/APICS) certification is a plus but not a must.
  • Oracle experience desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accountability to a safety-first culture.
  • Lead the Procurement, Scheduling, and Receiving departments to ensure their training and development is sufficient to enhance productivity while supporting the ongoing development and employee engagement.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, improving processes, reducing costs, and increase quality while providing superior customer service and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to minimize supply chain disruptions while limiting working capital.
  • Champion daily visual management as a development tool for the Supply Chain organization.
  • Analyze inventory turns, shortages, costing, manufacturing waste and cycle count deviations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Problem solving to identify the root cause of supply chain and scheduling issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve pricing, quality and delivery performance.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis will be required to support the requirements of location management.
