About The Position

The Caldwell Group, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing and supply chain operations for our manufacturing business in Beloit, WI. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can strengthen supplier performance, improve material availability, support on-time delivery, and build scalable purchasing processes that support operational excellence and company growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • At least two years of manager-level experience in supply chain or procurement.
  • At least five years of buying experience for purchased parts and raw materials.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing, reporting, dashboard, or ERP-related tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing best practices, supply chain trends, production planning, risk management, and contingency planning.
  • Ability to develop teams, optimize processes, and collaborate effectively across departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in supply chain management or purchasing preferred.
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business objectives, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage supplier readiness, expedite purchase orders, and improve material availability to support customer on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Production, Accounting, Sales, Engineering, and leadership teams to align purchasing activity with business needs.
  • Identify supply chain risks, develop mitigation plans, and create contingency strategies to support business continuity.
  • Build purchasing metrics, dashboards, supplier scorecards, and reporting tools to monitor performance and drive improvement.
  • Negotiate material costs, support strategic sourcing, and implement cost-control measures that contribute to margin and savings goals.
  • Establish scalable purchasing processes, clear roles and responsibilities, measurable standards, and internal controls.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team while promoting Caldwell values, accountability, and a safe, positive work environment.
